Welcome to Cooma Athletics

Welcome to the Cooma Athletics Club website. Little Athletics is a fun, social and active program for girls and boys aged 5 to 16.

But, Athletics doesn’t stop at 16! Cooma Athletics also provides a Club where athletes over 17 years can compete in the ACT Athletics programs. These competitions are also open to athletes in the age-groups of U14 and over when they are ‘dual-registered’ athletes

The 2020/21 Season starts on Saturday 17th October 2020. We meet at Snowy Oval on Saturday mornings where kids participate in a range of track and field events each week. It is a friendly environment where they are all encouraged to do their best and improve over the season.Β

Kids also have the opportunity to compete in various Invitational Carnivals around NSW and ACT as well as at the Multi-event and State Championships Carnivals held in Canberra later in the season. These are exciting experiences for the kids to be involved in and represent their club.

Kids also have the opportunity to join in weekly training sessions to build their skills and confidence.

There are some small but important changes to the program this year due to COVID and to make sure we are all kept safe.

Family, Fun and Fitness is the Little Athletics motto where we can all be involved and keep our club great!

Cooma Ex-Services Club present New Rotary Tiller for the Club

We are so pleased to have had Paul Sullivan and John Rolfe from the Cooma Ex-Services Club present our Athletics Club with a new Rotary Tiller!! The Long Jump pits need constant maintenance, turning the sand before each competition to ensure they are safe for our athletes to jump in. The Cooma Ex-Services Club surprised us by covering the cost of the order for a new tiller from Cooma Power Equipment.

We extend a massive Thank You to Cooma Ex-Services Club for the generous support that they have provided to our club and for helping us continue to provide a safe Long Jump environment for our kids and the local community
